GOODRIDGE COMMITS TO REND LAKE

Class of 2017 6'8 Central Florida Christian Academy Power Forward Zen Goodridge has made the decision to continue his athletic and academic career at NJCAA Division II Rend Lake College in Ina, Illinois. Goodridge played three years of High School Varsity basketball, where his final year was spent at Central Florida Christian Academy in Orlando, Florida and his first two years were spent at Hagerty High School out of Oviedo, Florida. Goodridge said he made the decision to transfer because he believed CFCA would give him better opportunities. In his Senior year at CFCA, Goodridge averaged 7 points per game and 8 rebounds per game.  As for AAU Ball, Goodridge has played with the Q6 All Stars and Team MOAM throughout his high school AAU career. He believes that his strengths in his game are his motor, offensive rebounding, defensive rebounding, shooting and being physical. When asked about what he believed his weaknesses were and how he planned on attacking these weaknesses, Goodridge responded, "My weaknesses are quickness and jumping. I plan on putting on a lot more muscle and being more explosive and quicker." Goodridge made things official on June 1st when he put pen to paper and signed to further his basketball career. He is excited to play at the next level and says that he's most excited because, "it'll bring on a new challenge and I get to get better everyday." When asked why he made the decision to choose Rend Lake, Goodridge replied, "I chose Rend Lake because the coaches believed in me and I would have to opportunity to showcase my abilities and show my versatility." Rend Lake competes in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference and finished their 2017 season with a 17-12 record.
