GROVE COMMITS TO ROLLINS COLLEGE

Class of 2018 The First Academy (Orlando, Florida) Outfielder Dakoda Grove has made his verbal commitment to play NCAA Division II baseball at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Grove has been a part of the Varsity baseball team at TFA since his freshman year and has been a starter since his Sophomore Year. He previously played his travel ball with Burn Platinum but made the decision to switch and play for 2018 Power Baseball because of "the great coaching staff they provide." As a Junior at TFA, Grove accumulated a Batting Average of .379, a .491 On Base Percentage, 27 RBI, 8 stolen bases and 28 runs scored in a season that saw TFA finished ranked #6 in the state according to the DB's recruiting final top 25 and where they lost a close regional final game 3-2 to eventual undefeated state champion and #1 in the final rankings, Calvary Christian. When asked what made him choose Rollins, Grove responded, "I committed to Rollins because I believe Rollins is the perfect fit for me. The education is the best out there and they compete in the sunshine state conference which is the best baseball conference in all of D2! The coaching staff there is also great and I love everything about Rollins." Rollins Competes in the Sunshine State Conference and finished last season with a record of 27-22.
