NIBERT COMMITS TO POLK STATE COLLEGE

Class of 2017 Cornerstone Charter Academy Second Baseman/Outfielder Reese Nibert has made her verbal commitment to play NJCAA Division I Softball at Polk State College in Winter Haven, Florida. When Nibert was asked why she chose Polk State, she responded, "I really liked the coach and the softball program that they have at Polk." Nibert was a part of the Cornerstone Charter Academy softball program for seven years and started in all seven of those years. She has been a crucial part in the one district championship and the multiple regional playoff game appearances. Over her years at Cornerstone she played a multitude of different positions. She has played not only behind the dish and in the outfield but she has also played in the middle infield. Which is something that makes her a true utility player and something that should give her a huge advantage when she gets to Polk and starts competing.  In her career at CCA, Nibert accumulated a .317 Batting Average, .453 On Base Percentage, 78 RBI, 27 doubles, 2 triples and 3 home runs. Polk State competes in the Suncoast Conference and finished their 2017 season 19-34.
